David B. Smith is a partner and co-founder of Smith Giacometti. For seven years prior to forming Smith Giacometti , David was associated with the large international law firm of Duane, Morris & Heckscher as a member of the firm’s nationally-recognized Reorganization and Finance Department.

His practice is a diverse mix of commercial transactions and commercial litigation with a focus in the area of bankruptcy from both the debtor and creditor sides. His experience includes:

Representing debtors and creditors in commercial loan workouts and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases
Representing debtors and creditors in consumer-related matters, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases

Representing lenders and financial institutions in connection with distressed commercial loans
